frontpage1.jpg - 16869 Bytes    We HydroSeed residential size lawns in the Phoenix, AZ area.  Hydro-Mulching is the easy, affordable, logical alternative to sod.  It does't require as much soil preparation as sod, won't need as much water to establish as sod, is a lot cheaper, and you won't get a sore back watching us install it. And there's no stress or shock involved because it's "planted," not transplanted.  You can't tell grass we Hydro-Mulch from sodded lawn 4 to 8 weeks after it's planted!

We have newer, better grasses!  The best grasses for our Desert used to be Hybrid Bermudas like Tifgreen, Santa-Ana & Midiron.  Recent research has been more focused on new high-end seeded varieties with names like Riviera and Yukon because they're easier and less expensive to plant and out-perform the older sodded varieties.  Our Standard grass, BlackJack is very similar to Midiron.  The grass we plant most, LaPaloma is a higher end variety with much better density and turf quality.  Click here for a comparison of Bermuda Varieties.

Hydro-Mulching is less expensive than sod.
Our minimum charge for lawns up to 500 s/f is $125.00 for BlackJack, our standard grass, or $137.50 for LaPaloma, the grass we plant most often.  That's a 20' by 25' area - about the size of a large two car garage.)
Click here to see How We Measure the area of a lawn.
500 s/f to 1,000 s/f lawns are $150 for BlackJack, $175 for LaPaloma: ADD 2-1/2 CENTS EXTRA per s/f to the following prices for LaPaloma,   1,000 s/f to 4,000 s/f lawns cost 15 cents per s/f.
(The price per s/f goes down as the lawn gets bigger.)
4,000 s/f to 10,000 s/f lawns are 12-1/2 cents a s/f.
10,000 s/f to 20,000 s/f is 10 cents a s/f.
20,000 s/f to an Acre is 8-1/2 cents a s/f.
Lawns over an Acre cost 7-1/2 cents a s/f.

HYDRO-MULCHING IS NOT SEASONAL.  Grasses that work best in our extreme temperatures establish quickly when it's hot, but it's never too cold to plant a beautiful permanent new lawn here!  Lawns we plant in Winter months come in beautiful and green.  But we can hide a permanant lawn underneath, where it will wait for a change in temperature and the right watering schedule to kick germination into gear.  We've been using this technique every winter since we moved our company here in 1994!

princess77-003s.jpg - 13158 Bytes    SOIL PREPARATION IS EASY. There's no need to add
top-soil, sod-mix or even roto-till.
It's O.K. if you are more comfortable roto-tilling or covering the rocks with clean dirt, but please don't buy expensive "sod mix."  It doesn't even matter if the dirt is hard as a rock (the frequent, light watering that germinates the grass will soften the soil for rapid establishment).  Truth is, the grass doesn't care how smooth the soil is, but you should.  Make sure it's smooth and clean enough that you're comfortable rolling a mower around it.  If you need to fill in low spots, please just use plain dirt.  Warning: If you use that black stuff you buy in bags to fill in low spots it will make the color of your new lawn appear uneven.  (Don't say we didn't warn you.)

There are no weed seeds in the mixture, but click here to find out how to make sure there's no weed seed in your soil.  Good soil contact is especially important if you want us to plant over an existing lawn.  ALL WE REALLY NEED IS A GOOD SPRINKLER SYSTEM AND SOIL THAT'S FIRM, CLEAN, SMOOTH AND DRY!  (But please, DON'T water it before we get there.)

IF YOU NEVER HEARD OF HYDRO-MULCHING, YOU'RE NOT ALONE.  It's been Landscaping's "best kept secret" for over 50 years!  You probably saw it's green color painted on the ground at a Park, School, Golf Course, Retention Basin or the side of a Freeway, but didn't know what it was.  (People often tell us they saw grass growing a few weeks later.)  There's nothing mysterious or experimental about it, and it's not too good to be true.  If enough wood fiber mulch and seed are properly applied, & it's watered correctly it'll be a sod quality lawn every time - AND THAT'S GUARANTEED!

YOU MIGHT NOT HAVE HEARD OF NATURE'S WAY HYDROSEEDING.  Since 1994 we've been the only "Hydro-Mulcher" in the Valley that specializes in "residential size lawns."  We've planted thousands of beautiful lawns for your neighbors, in one of the hottest, dryest, harsh desert environments in the Country.  Most of our work is from referrals so we don't advertise much.  Your neighbors won't ask us to plant their lawns, if yours isn't very pretty, very fast!  We have the years of experience and heavy duty "mechanically agitated" equipment to do it right the first time. We re-shoot less than 1 out of every 100 lawns we plant!

If you are willing to follow our written instructions, and you have a good automatic sprinkler system (hydroseeding does not forgive bad coverage) and an adequate timer (we have a cheap solution if it isn't), WE GUARANTEE YOU'LL HAVE A BEAUTIFUL GREEN LAWN or we'll touch-up or re-shoot if for free.

Please Note: A few weeks ago the company that hosted our website and email for 10 years disappeared.  It's on a new server now, but some pages are still missing.  Over the next few weeks, I'll continue re-writing / updating it.  If what you're looking for isn't here, call me at 480-540-9850.

Our "on-line brochure" is here to solve a problem:  I had to make people wait until I found an off-ramp or stopped planting someone's lawn so I could address a brochure or fill-out a work-order.  Now it's easy to find out if what I do is right for you.

Providing just enough for a "favorable decision" leads to unhappy customers, call-backs and a very bad reputation.  I WANT INFORMED CUSTOMERS WHO REFER ME TO THEIR FRIENDS!

A piece of paper or a phone call can't provide enough information for an "informed decision."  So I tried to answer most of the questions people ask on the phone.  Click on links in the text or the FAQ section below:

   Why haven't I heard of Hydro-Mulching before?
   How does it work?
   Is it, HydroSeeding or Hydro-Mulching?
How long will it take to become a Sod Quality lawn?
   How much does it cost?
What do you mean "It's not Seasonal?"
How do I prepare the soil?
How can I make sure I won't get weeds?
Can I plant over an existing lawn?
Can Tifgreen, Santa-ana or Mid-iron be HydroSeeded?
What do you mean, New Grasses?
   Exactly what is BlackJack?
   What if I have shade?
   What do previous customers say?
What's "doing it the way we'd want it done" mean?
What do you mean it's not for everyone?
   What's the watering schedule?
What if I want a list of addresses?
   What is the Guarantee?
Why are some other hydroseeders cheaper?

If you have questions please call me at 480-540-9850.   (I wear a headset so I won't have to stop working to talk.)  If you email questions, please include a call-back number.  I spend very little time in the office and a lot of time on freeways.  Sometimes it can take a week to find an hour to compose a written reply to a question that would take 5 minutes on the phone.

When you're ready to schedule, SAVE $ 5.00 BY FILLING IN A WORK ORDER ON-LINE.  And if you have not installed sprinklers yet, CHECK OUR ADVICE ABOUT SPRINKLER SYSTEM DESIGN.

P.S.  I learned just enough "HTML" to write this web site.  (Yeah, I did it myself.)  I work on it when there's time (but something "more important" always seems to come up) so it's never been quite completed.  A few of the links don't work because I didn't get to them yet.  Feel free to Email suggestions for making the web site better.
